A slightly darker start to the previous evenings and a scorching solo that reminds us the power that these occasions are capable of generating. Somehow in the face of crowd hostility and indifferent to adverse off-stage surroundings, some of the most beautiful music descends from the heavens. Turmoil In Paradise there may well have been, but this is a must-have show if soundscapes are your thing. Fripp noted “we cut the length to 20 minutes in response to our experience of G3 audience-response. This is the point at which, among those less inclined to offer silent praise or erupt in generous expressions of enjoyment, restlessness becomes open rancour.”

The view from the other side of the stage wasn’t entirely unappreciative. Lucia observed “ROBERT FRIPP: I think he is a very interesting musician, I never had listened to his music, I only had listened some King Crimson, but his ambiental, experimental and enigmatic music is very relaxing. Perhaps he is not the ideal musician to a G3 rock guitar show, and the audience didn't response very well, but I personally liked his music.” Though in truth Alfredo may have spoken for a greater number of the crowd when he chipped in “i still don`t know why fripp was chosen to complete the g3. Thanks to god, he only played 15 minutes.”
