Ah, Beautiful Barcelona, city of dreams and imagination allowed to run riot. Sadly, imagining watching a guitarist sitting down or obscured by his gear was enough to nearly cause a riot for some people in the crowd.

Fripp noted “Tonight, we shortened the Soundscape set to 20 minutes. This seems to be the cut-off point of a G3 audience attention-span for what I'm doing (although that has proven to be too long for some). Also tonight, Billy Sheehan joined me. Ten minutes before going onstage, wondering how to best deal with tonight's negativity, suddenly the thought: ask Billy to come on! Which Billy did, and he was stunning. Energy came from somewhere to trigger the thought, and I believe I know from where.”
Alas we don’t have Billy’s contribution captured for posterity here as these recordings come direct from the Lunar Module.

Nevertheless, there are some wonderful growly ruminations from Fripp from the middle of Paradise Lost which through a huge PA like the G3 set-up must have shook the very foundations of the place. The resolution in Paradise Regained is simply wonderful. This could well the "If You Only Buy One Gig From This Tour" nominee.
