“Good evening. It’s almost Halloween - I’ve got my scary face on tonight!” says Belew after a version of Thela Hun Ginjeet that sounds like it’s been recast as a thudding four-to-the floor headcrusher. The band sound a little subdued compared to the previous evening at the Gothic though, with sections of LTIA PtIV not quite gelling as much as it might. Mind,
that’s not to say there aren’t some memorable moments.

ET eyewitness Kevin Rhoades, who had been there on the previous evening, relates what happened when the band had a run at TCOL. “ I thought the set list and order of the songs worked a little better Saturday night than Friday night; The ConstruKction of Light benefited tremendously by having strong songs before it. In fact, TCOL provided the highlight of the evening, when, after Trey and Pats smoking, blistering introduction, there was a slight pause...then the guys onstage looked at each other...then they started laughing... then the audience started laughing...then Adrian ran to the back of the stage, grabbed something, ran back up to the microphone with his guitar, laughing, and said, It works a lot better when its plugged in! Cheers and laughter erupted everywhere. Adrian plugged in, Robert gestured with his hand over his head, indicating take it from the top, and Pat and Trey obliged by playing another peerless, fierce intro, after which the band executed the song fabulously.”
