Something for the weekend?

Bill Bruford has returned to live performance as a member of the Pete Roth Trio. The line-up is Pete Roth (guitar), Mike Pratt (bass) and Bill. The trio's music has been described as taking a "freewheeling approach to jazz which takes decades of tradition seriously, but still wishes to do something adventurous with it." You can read the full review of a recent show here. The trio is playing this coming weekend at the Windsor Old Court Arts Centre, on November 23. Click here for more information and tickets.

Meanwhile, there's a new interview with Bill and Tama Drums airing tomorrow. Bill goes into his early years as a performer, his moves from jazz to rock and back again, his years with Yes and King Crimson, and offers advice for younger drummers. The video premiers on Bill’s YouTube channel at 10.00 UK time on Friday November 22nd 2024.
