I do think it's good!
With powerful, soaring ensemble work, intricate jazz inflected prog excursions and an unencumbered sledgehammer intensity that makes Black Sabbath sound like a Windham Hill artist, the Octo-Crim are a potent high-wire act with lethal capabilities. I went in cold—no idea what the setlist might consist of and zero expectations. I left smiling and grateful for an amazing music experience. The staff at the Cap is always pleasant, and the audience seemed (largely) to heed the wishes of the performer’s “no photos/vids” request. In fact, I rarely saw anyone even pull out a phone during the performance to check texts/emails which meant (hopefully) that LOTS more folks were “in the moment”. A rare occurrence these days, and a delight. Thanks very much for doing what you do. Long may the mighty Crim run!
