Massey Hall has been the scene of some remarkable Crimson gigs in the past and this one is no exception. The setlist by now is akin to a precision-made scalpel capable of the most delicate and exacting incisions whilst also being able to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting minds of those attending. Despite feeling unwell (the result of a dodgy tuna sandwich backstage), Mastelotto drums up a storm as well as all of the other buttons, switches and electronic paraphernalia that is part of Pat’s remit. “I almost didn't get back for Thrush and must have been moving slow setting up for L5 since Ade started it without me!” ET correspondent Greg Amann took his sons to see the band and related this amusing anecdote: “On the way to the show my 8 year old son (who plays soccer) asked me if Fripp was the "Captain" of King Crimson. I thought that was a pretty good way to sum it up. During the show: 8 year old: "Which one is Fripp?" 10 year old: "The one you can't see." I am not making this up.” Greg also offered this useful overview: “KC impressed me as being a "band", not a bunch of Fripp acolytes. This is a hot time in KC history. My advice is try not to miss it.”
