“A new Era of Terror emerges” wrote Trey Gunn and so it does. There’s the first outing for the decidedly eclectic EleKtriK.[endtease] Admirers of the Masto-beast will notice how he’s moves the groove into a looser, faux-jazz feel. Robert rocks out on in the set-up during Thrush whilst Ade charms the pants off the home crowd during ProzaKc.

Hampered by monitoring problems for this gig, Trey also notes in his diary that despite the brown moments and stinkers in this inaugural set “KC was good. I think.” Spirited, even skittish in mood, Red treads the fine line between stride and swagger, making it almost comedic in places but liable to turn nasty if you’re not careful.

This version of Red, along with Thrush, Thela, ProzaKc, and EleKtriK, first appeared on KCCC19 though this is the first time the entire gig has been made available on DGMLive.

Level Five Tour Show No. 1
This is the first show on the band’s Level Five tour and the band is surprisingly tight right out of the gate. A few songs from both tonight’s and the next night’s show at the same venue were used CC #19 Live in Nashville, TN. However, there are many highlights in both shows that aren’t included on that release. Like what? you ask. Well, how about what appears to be the last FraKctured and an alternative version of Virtuous Circle, TCoL, as well as Dinosaur and One Time. There mi...

Here comes another one
For my download’s collection. I always like the KCCC 19, but the opportunity to have both gigs in their complete form it’s invaluable. If you like the new territories explored by this incarnation then this gig is for you!
