Take a listen to Frame By Frame. You hear that? There's a real edge and urgency at work here. Those finely polished parts, well oiled by years of use and familiarity, still twinkle and sparkle as they move through the sections. It's dazzling stuff and there's no wonder it gets a huge response from the crowd.

That can-do vim and vigour isn't confined to that number either. SESDD is delivered with panache and Red skips along sprightly as you like, positively roaring with rude health.

The middle section of Thrak moves at quite a pace with Belew's power drill routine smearing sounds over Fripp's rippling workout as Gunn applies spectral arcs that blaze across the stereo spectrum like a comet. There's no let up in the intensity before they return to the end theme.

An error in foot-control of the pedals lends the end freak-out of Indisciplne a rather surprising frisson that's almost worth the price of admission. "I do think it's good" laughs Belew off-mic at the end.

This is as muscular a Crimson show as you could possibly want. Maybe even the best of this run?
