TONY LEVIN & THE APPLIANCE OF SCIENCE

I’m grateful to Axel Bruns for pointing my generally non-scientific head in the direction of a study by Australian physicists.  They’ve recently studied the data on musical collaborations on the All Music Guide, and have come up with a list of the ten most frequent musical collaborators in popular music.  It’ll be no surprise to DGMLive visitors to discover that Tony Levin comes in at number 10.

Here’s a news item about it and here’s the report itself - although Tony Levin fans will want to cut straight through to page 6.  I asked Tony how he felt about being part of a scientific study."It is, indeed, interesting.  Maybe the physicists were swayed in my direction from hearing that many of the lyrics on my album are based on science!"
