Grammy nominated Adrian Belew was pipped at the post at last night’s awards ceremony in Los Angeles. Beat Box Guitar from Adrian’s Side One album had seen him placed next to Steve Vai, Stewart Copeland and Joe Perry in the Best Rock Instrumental Performance category. In the end it went to Les Paul and friends for 69 Freedom Special from the tribute album, American Made World Played. Commiserations to Adrian and stiff-upper-lip congratulations to the all-star jam that is the winner.
