Today at the Vicarage : The Vicarage

Those planets are doing their thing again. The last time this alignment occurred it was sufficient to change the world of Cliff Richard and the Shadows into world of the Beatles – so what chaos, I wonder, may it cause on the infinitesimally smaller world of DGM and the Vicar. A time of war or great creative leaps. Or both.

Yesterday, I joined the TonProb team in intense sessions on the Soundscapes from the World Financial Centre – "Love Cannot Bear", planned for release this autumn. A strangely prescient performance, where the artist definitely tapped into something. The ears of an audient at home are, however, very different from those innocently wandering through a building in New York (sometimes wondering out loud "when the artist will finish tuning and begin playing some proper music") – and judicious editing is sometimes required. Although a transcendent moment is a transcendent moment is a transcendent moment.

And today, I have Donbledore over from Seattle, via San Diego and New York, but in the wrong order (New York – San Diego – Seattle – London). Alcohol free, with tennis shoes. We shall see how this trend develops after a good night's sleep at Auntie Penny's.
