Today at the Vicarage DGM

Today at the Vicarage : DGM.

A break from the Chinless Wonders, as the singer is unwell. DGM has been transformed. A very different energy in the building. The musical feast for the day was a snippet from Alex, in the newly arranged studio, who played me some rehearsal recordings from 1983, which I have suggested he transform into Projekct Minus One. Numerous half formed pieces, which never appeared on 3OAPP - San Francisco, Grace Jones, RF's ballad.

For those who do not follow English news, Toyah (and apparently RF) have appeared on TV and in the newspapers, demonstrating (in an apolitical way), against the siting of an asylum centre in a rural area near Pershore, still devastated by foot and mouth.

For music business news, the hot story is the fact that Sony's much heralded "copy protected CD" (which will not play in computers) can be "broken" by the simple expedient of running a marker pen around the rim of the CD. And still they struggle to put the genie back in the bottle.
