Always something of a special song for Jakko Jakszyk, when he first saw King Crimson play Watford Town Hall back in 1971, Pictures Of A City was one of the numbers in the set. It’s a fair bet the young Jakko never thought he’d be up on stage singing and playing the track as a member of King Crimson. But here he is, adding a great vocal and slicing guitar lines to the piece that often makes Schizoid Man look like a walk in the park. The opened out middle section features an especially scorching solo from Mel.
