Congratulations to Brian Pinke. Having been duly picked at random out of the deluge of entries, Washington DC resident Brian wins himself a copy of the Bruford Borstlap dvd.
And so to our new giveway.
The eleventh day of the eleventh month is a poignant day in the UK where the dead of the wars in this centrury and the last are remembered. This is marked by a two minute silence. Thanks to Locus +, we have a copy of Kenotaphion, a two CD collection of a number of those two minutes of reflection curated by artist Jonty Semper, to giveaway.
With archive recordings dating from 1929 up 2000 , this is an intriguing and sometimes moving record of that elusive and poignant sound of silence .
