PAT & TREY'S HOT TICKLE

I was driving back from downtown with the iPod on shuffle and a live version of Oyster Soup came on. I have always been a big fan of Trey Gunn and the TCoL rhythm section so I cranked it up and dove beneath Ade's vocals. Whoa! There's a lot going on underneath the lyrics. THAT would be a great Stormy dub release if he gets around to it. The music bubbling underneath the vocals is incredible. With the passing of John Wetton and current attention on T-Lev in the eight-headed beast, it's easy to lose Trey in the mix. In my book, the TG/PM rhythm section rivaled JW & St. William of Bruford. Just sayin... Okay, back to others raving about current shows...

Upon reading this Alex 'Stormy' was inspired to delve into the multitrack tapes of The ConstruKction Of Light sessions and provide folks with this up-close example of the Rhythm Buddies at work on Oyster Soup...
