Yesterday I spoke to Jakko Jakszyk who reported that the King Crimson rehearsals were going well and there was lots of laughter in the room - as pictured here...

Meanwhile KC roadcrew member and fixer extraordinaire, Trev Wilkins has also been posting pics of the rehearsals on his Facebook page and gives us this insight into the process on the 5th June "Robert commented today that it was the first rehearsal he'd had where everyone present wore glasses, so I have to resign myself to being included for my reading glasses. It's not my eyesight of course but the tiny screens on all of the gear we use!
Another productive and happy day and learned a few more intricacies of Robert's rig. We still have a minor issue with Mel's baritone sax which keeps dropping a pad but none of us had a cigarette lighter to melt the shellac and stick it back on. Tomorrow it will be fixed. It's also the last day before we rejig and move to a bigger space with the frontline (three drummers). This brings a new set of challenges as you can imagine but I'm feeling excited at the prospect. I know the excellent calibre of the drummers, Gavin Harrison, Bill Rieflin and Pat Mastelotto. Combine this with the backline excellence and it's gonna be great.
