Proof that community campaigning can pay off is found in the back pages of the Western Daily Press.  Their report on the efforts of the inhabitants of Broad Chalke to raise money for the village school can be found here.  All those who downloaded The Vicar’s “Where’s The Money, Mr. Blair?” can bask in the comforting glow that they helped do their bit to improve things for the kids.
