The other half of Fripp and Eno has his birthday (and wedding aniversary) today and by way of a celebration we've got a copy of F&E's Beyond Even to giveaway. All you need to do be in with a chance of having your name picked out at random is to send an email with F&E in the header and your postal address in the message to competitions@dgmlive.com. I'll announce the winner on Wednesday 21st May.

The Sunday Times praised F&E's ability to consistently sound like nobody else, whilst The Guardian found their collaborations to be "heartwarming." However, its charms were lost on Pitchfork who thought it was pretty thin stuff. "just second helpings of leftovers" opined a dissapointed and dubious Joshua Klein. However, the BBC's music site enjoyed the kind album, as did All About Jazz's John Kelman, who regarded it as the duo's "most diverse album to date," and Jazzreview who declared it was "zealously recommended." Elsewhere, Dusted got into the dub-loop space jazziness of it and The Phoenix felt the boys had edged closer to the dance genre of ambient music. Finally, if you still have the appetite, you can read my take on it over on the blog.
