APHORPEARANCE IN SF

Robert Fripp and Guitar Craft aphorisms have a habit of popping up in the most unlikely places.

Following on from the somewhat wacky appropriation of one such aphorism in the Christmas special of  ITV’s genteel murder mystery series, Rosemary & Thyme (The episode was called The Cup Of Silence - see DGMLive news December 24) comes news of an aphorpearance in San Francisco.

What's an aphorpearance? Why it's the technical term for the appearance in odd or unusual contexts of RF / GC aphorisms.

Should you find yourself in Powell Street on the corner of Post and Sutter you might nip into a restaurant called Scala’s Bistro. As you peruse the menu you will notice along the top the quote “music is the wine that fills the cup of silence.”

Thanks to Patricia Fripp and David Garfinkel for letting us know about this one.

If you come across any RF / GC quotes popping up in unexpected places please let us know.  Although it makes no reference to the quote, or indeed whether any discount is available to diners with a genuine GC pick, here’s a link to their fine establishment.
