Pershore Performance

Arcam 192 offers these thoughts on Robert's performance at Pershore Abbey yesterday.

"It was an absolute delight to sit in the nave of Pershore Abbey and become so involved in Robert’s playing. My previous experience of soundscapes was in July 2004 at The NIA in Birmingham on the G3 tour, complete with booing after the first 20 minutes.

The audience was a small but select group. Robert introduced his parents in law, his builders and cleaning lady and a few parishioners and friends. I hope to be present at Salisbury in a couple of weeks and I would suggest anyone with a liking for Soundscapes to visit one of the remaining four dates.

Here’s a little tip. Get there early. I was looking around the Abbey 50 minutes before the start and I heard Robert playing Fracture on an unamplified guitar!! What a bonus."
