Faith is a virtue, but risks becoming belief.
This is a weakness.

Scepticism is a virtue, but risks becoming cynicism.
Cynicism is a vice.

May we hold scepticism close;
May faith hold us closer.

But let us not belittle the beliefs of others,
For although beliefs are legion they may lead to faith.
And faith is one.

Bliss, wonderment & joy arising: I've spoken to both Toyah and my Sister (twice) today! The Little Horse is back from Israel and has three days filming in London before flying to Malaysia on Thursday. And Sister has forbidden me from seeing any high-action films on current release before Thanksgiving.

I have now moved onto Roger Lewin's "Complexity: Life At The Edge Of Chaos" from "The Fuzzy Future". Not only a good reading morning, but also a good writing morning. My health is up to 98%.

No one told me that the clocks went back an hour this morning, so I got to brunch earlier than intended. Also earlier than the restaurant opened. Not so many very, very fat people at the buffet bar today - perhaps the brunch / weekend crowd are a different group of people.

Scott Stroman's diary is a considerable asset to the other considerable assets in the Diary department, which I have just visited. Interesting comment on the Guestbook: Peter Sinfield's plans for an "orchestra": perhaps of former Crimson members? Perhaps Peter will post the news directly?

Life at Chez Belewbeloid:

Pat & Bill are editing away. As my fingers snap across this keypad, I am listening to the first of 2 volumes of rehearsal edits by Pat, both burnt onto CD. A version of "Seizure" is currently ripping along. Bill is continuing to prepare KC's "ProjeKct X" for BootlegTV.com.

The Beastly Belewbeloibles were out trick or treating last evening. I believe they returned with candies.

A visitor to the house today: Graham Elvis from The Elvis Brothers, who supported Crimson in 1984. They used to tell people that Fripp couldn't get onstage without a sixth of Jack and a bag of weed. I have always liked that story.

Happy Halloween!
