Motel Modesto.
In dreamland: a group of which I was a member, along with Greg Lake.
A frosty morning at Motel Modesto I…

Reading breakfast…

… now to loading the car & off to visit Ken P in East Finchley.
14.35 Minxie Pad, Chiswick.
A most enjoyable visit with Ken…

… who was at Coombe Springs in the 1960s with JGB. Ken has a significant archive of material & is a valuable commentator on Systematics & aspects of that body of work. A visitor from Italy, Francesca, is in London to cheer for Elan this evening, and is staying with Ken. An educational & enjoyable visit. We shall next meet this evening at Smith Square, Westminster.
Shortly, off to tea with David Enthoven in Parsons Green.
00.34 Bredonborough.
The traffic, getting into Chelsea from Chiswick, exemplifies the impracticability of driving in town. In 1973-74, motoring in Central London, I couldn’t see any future for individual transporters in dense urban spaces. And here we are.
A fabbo tea with tea with David & wife Maren, and David’s business partner in IE Management Tim Smith, with Tim’s wife.
Tim is joint Managing Director of ie:music, managing Robbie Williams, Sia, Archive and Craig Armstrong with his partner David Enthoven. He is a former Managing Director of Island Records, working with the legendary Chris Blackwell on a stellar roster that included Bob Marley, Cat Stevens, Steve Winwood and countless other rock, folk and reggae luminaries including David Enthoven’s EG roster of King Crimson, Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry.
From this fun, chatty, informative & tea with many tastinessess, leaving c. 18.00 for Westminster & St. John’s Church, Smith Square for An Evening of the Music of George Gurdjieff and Thomas de Hartmann to include the Violin Sonata Opus 51 by Elan Sicroff, piano and Katharina Paul, violin I…

II...

Intentional performance of this quality is exceptionally rare, the violin playing superb & a considerable addition to the recital.
All the usual culprits were in the audience.
Leaving c. 21.50, arriving here c. 00.10 I…

II...

The Minx will be arriving c. 02.00.
