22.13 Bredonborough.
The Minx & I set off from Hotel Wonderful at 10.42 and arrived in Bredonborough c. 18.30. It took 7 hours to get to Hotel Wonderful last Thursday, and nearly 8 hours to return home today. The cam belt broke while on the A59 near Skipton, just 10 minutes into our journey. The RAC truck arrived after an hour and ten, the tow truck a further 2 hours and fifteen after that, and some four hours later the car was deposited at Bredonborough’s garage. Necromantic rites will be uttered over the engine tomorrow.
On the message machine: an appointment has been made for a BT engineer to call – on 5th. February (I assume this year).

Robert, if you’re reading this might I suggest finding the number for BT’s head office and calling them directly.
And the number is…? The difficulty is, firstly, to find BT numbers in the UK and, secondly, to find BT UK numbers with human people-persons attached.
