Hotel Adequate, Annapolis.
Touring Hell continues.
A long, beginning day rising at 05.30 in the Airport Sheraton, San Diego. There was even a rush-hour in the elevator at 06.00, a rush-hour at check-in & rush-hour through security: the longest check-in lines I have known on a US domestic flight.
Sitting in economy, the flight was full with a Herr Booby sitting next to me for 5.5 hours of nose picking & skin-biting just 18-24" from my head. About 45 years old & respectably dressed, I was surprised that after five hours Herr Booby had any more skin available for biting from his fingers. But, for the last 30 minutes on the approach to Dulles, Herr Booby's sickening skin-chewing was undiminished in its vigour & application. He brushed detritus from his clothes several times.
Then a wait for baggage, connecting with Biff our second engineer for this leg, a 'bus to car hire, driving the wrong way on the beltway (which brought us into rush hour traffic), and 2.5 hours of a one-hour drive, we arrived in Annapolis around 19.30.
Dribble.
