A dream awoke me: an unpleasant, exploitative, dishonest chancer of close & extended professional acquaintance, a manager, was threatening to sue me for libel. A large packet of papers had arrived from his lawyers. Merely glancing at one page, I saw the word libel & assumed he was threatening an action for calling him out as an unpleasant, exploitative, dishonest chancer.
When I knew him, in waking life, he combined an excessive concern for secrecy in his actions with a concern for his good name; while simultaneously maintaining a declared behavioural margin for actions that would not, to an honest man, be considered ideal.
