Today at the Vicarage DGM

Today at the Vicarage : DGM cyberspace

The day of David Beckham's foot. I doubt that a second metatarsal bone has been discussed in cabinet before. Nor been the subject of four or five pages in many newspapers. A latter day Achilles, with an entire nation obsessed with one mans' foot. Complete with a national laying on of hands at midday today. Only mad dogs and Englishmen. All part of the national bonding process.

At DGM, the distance between the possible and the actual is closing daily. Distribution, mail order, collectors clubs, and subscription sites. Perhaps even downloadable Vicar Chronicles.

Write your aim clearly on a piece of paper, and it will be so.

Distributors have been calling offering solutions to DGM's back room services. Sean Fitzpatrick, recently liberated from Virgin and looking years younger, may offer his services. Ioannis of Vivid Images phoned David Singleton to tell him a subscription service he built for Trey Gunn. $35 for backstage titbits, diaries, photos etc. of a two week tour. 200 subscribers brought in income of $7000.

Compare this with the income of $0.00 which the much renowned BootlegTV produced for an income of $4 million. But then, of course, vulture capitalists do not want income of $7,000.
