The One That Got Away

Back in rehearsals again today. And after a morning wading through contracts and accounts, I went down to the rehearsal space with the band in the hope of taking some more photographs of happy musicians...

And during the introduction to Starless, where he doesn't play, Gavin got up from his kit, grabbed a hoover (that would be a vacuum cleaner for the American fraternity) and pretended to vacuum around all the band members while they played. This was my moment! Not only did I have smiling musicians, I had people laughing so much that they could barely keep playing. Click, click went the camera. Ping, ping went a series of wonderful shots showing up on the screen at the back.

It was only once the excitement had subsided that I had an awful premonition, and opened the memory slot on the camera - to discover that I had not replaced the memory card after removing it for yesterday's posting.

So no photographs.

I did grab a few once I had inserted the card, but nothing like those that got away.

Meanwhile I can always content myself with endless pictures of Mount Fuji.
