It’s to be hoped that the dog that can be heard barking at the start of the set got out of the way before being flattened [endtease]by the remorseless brute-force of Vrooom that howls and bays from the stage of the Broadway. One can only speculate on what the poor pooch would have made of the snorting bull that hoofs about during Red or the honking pachyderm wassailing during Elephant Talk, not forgetting that plucky mouse and its heavy-duty squeaking during the same song. Let’s pray the dear doggie ran for cover as the flock of birds swooped down during Matte. Well, you get the idea; a truely wild beast of a gig with Crim on form and heading toward the top of the big game. No animals were harmed during the making of this recording. I hope.

No April Fools! Great Stuff!
The series of Double trio dates from ’94 continues to produce.  For fans of this incarnation, a wonderful windfall.  I have to admit the live performances released by DGM over the past few years has made me more of a believer in this grouping.  The mix is very good and reveals much of the interplay between the parts.  A powerful perfromance, the second ’Red’ in particular.  Would love to hear a ’96 show by the boyz with their version of "The Sheltering Sky" in th...
