"I just signed my name on the wall upstairs right underneath Frank Sinatra. What a great place this is" says a clearly enthused Belew after a superb Dangerous Curves and Frying Pan. Whenever Crimson play Chicago something magical seems to happen. Sadly for Adrian Belew the magic of his vocal cords ran out about half way through a stomping rendition of Dinosaur. He manfully continues but is clearly struggling through Thela. "I'm very sorry to say that the ghost of Frank Sinatra has taken my voice" he laughs at the end of the track. From there on in this becomes an instrumental-only concert. Even though Ade may have lost his voice, Crimson is a long way from losing its collective roar. A powerful Virtuous Circle and Belew's raggedly ascending guitar solo during Level 5 are real triumphs of the night.
