Fripp had played at the Inter-Media Arts Centre in Huntington earlier in the year in the company of Trey Gunn and Adrian Belew trading under the ProjeKCt Two banner. On the return trip, Fripp is out there on his own with an especially reflective and pensive mood in the early stages of the set. Yet by Huntington II the terrain is completely different as a rising swell buoys the soul with a melody that feels so generous and welcoming in spirit you can almost feel the benevolence radiating from it. Over the course of its 22-minute duration the piece slowly ebbs away, reduced to a shimmering light hovering on the edge of a dark horizon. RF's diary records that the soundscapes at IMAC benefitted from “a supportive, generous audience. I enjoyed playing Soundscapes again; and speaking with the audience after the performance.
