King Crimson - Live at Jahrhunderthalle, Frankfurt, Germany, 12th June 2019
I'm exhausted after the King Crimson live in concert in Frankfurt...mentally, musically and intellectually. Of course, this was the best live concert I have ever watched so far. Everything was just note perfect...the sound balance, acoustics, vocals, guitars, drums, bass, sax, flute, keyboards, the audience. Robert Fripp (guitar, keys) and Jakko Jackszyk (guitar, vocals) were at the top of their game while Tony Levin (bass, sticks), Mel Collins (sax, flute) and the unique playing of 3 drummers, Pat Mastelotto, Jeremy Stacy and Gavin Harrison (ex-Porcupine Tree) provided superb support. All 3 drummers played their parts beautifully throughout and also on the drum solo, Drumzilla at the beginning of 2nd set. The guitar solos by Fripp and Jakko and the sax, flute solos of Mel were excellent. My personal highlights of the concert were Larks' Tongues in Aspic, Part 1, In the Court of the Crimson King, Epitaph, Starless, Circus, Easy Money, Moonchild, Pictures of a City, The ConstruKction of Light and Cat Food.
