“This is where I feel that I wish to say something although I have nothing to say, just really to blow you a kiss and say that the audiences in Holland have been quite remarkably generous” says Robert in one of four appearances at the microphone this evening. However, it’s the third announcement which stands out as coming close to providing the answer to one of the great LOG mysteries: the title to Untitled - the duet between Barry Andrews and Fripp.

After gently swaying Boy At The Piano Fripp says “we should now like to burst into a querulous duet. This is called Prelude to...” and then there’s a clink of some kind which obscures the final word. Obsessively repeated listening has failed to reveal the word - to these ears at least. Might you have more success?

The band sound tighter tonight as they acclimatise to life on the road. The second version of Eye Needle has quotes a bit of Bowie in the introductory burst of guitar but Better In The Dark, despite missing the intro (which fades up) steals the show by a whisker. Buyer beware: there’s some tape cut outs in the final version of Inductive Resonance.

Thanks to the recent poster having the same understanding of the title of the untiteled prelude. Maybe somebody else can help out if it is prelude to law lor ... I fully agree - this bundle makes me glad smiling and dancing Will be my next listen through

I believe the title of the Untitled track is ’Prelude to Law’. Or, perhaps it is ’Prelude to Lor/Lore’. Either way, this is another great bundle of performances and another essential download.  Night after night the League of Gentlemen created new music with a set repertoire of songs, making these concerts an exciting and enthralling listen. Endless thanks to Mr. Fripp and the DGM crew for making these recordings available.
