Who Said This? (slight return)

Earlier in the week I asked "who said this?" in a coy but probably irritating kind of way...

"But even in the early days we used to feel that we were rushing things, though we struggled on playing how we wanted to play, and then King Crimson appeared on the scene, and we thought they were just magnificent; doing the same kind of things that we wanted to, but so much bigger and better. And we used to think, ’they’d never allow themselves to be rushed.. why do we?’, and we built Crimson up into giant mythical proportions inside our heads, because they were putting our ideals into practice – musically, and in the way they were being handled.”

Thanks to those brave folks who put an answer on the guestbook and those who emailed me privately looking no doubt to hide their deepest anorak tendencies from public gaze.

The answer was none other than all around good guy, Peter Gabriel.

Congratulations to Pedro on the gb who can now feel as smug as he wants.  Eric Allen has good cause to be feeling smug about this one as well. Not only did he get it right but he provided me with this link to the article from where the quote was lifted.
