The world of music was rocked to its foundations today following the discovery of a recent photograph of Robert Fripp actually smiling.
The snap was taken during Fripp’s visit to Microsoft in Seattle last year, when the venal playboy superstar progrock God was in town recording sounds for the forthcoming Vista operating system.
The reclusive eccentric Dorset-born ex-member of 70s supergroup, Emerson Lake & Palmer was unavailable for comment but sources close to him say the smile was preceded by Fripp whistling “We’re In The Money.”
