Tim Talks About Fripp

No-Man's Tim Bowness has been interviewed by the Lords of Metal site and was asked about working with Robert Fripp. "Well first of all I would say that it's fun to work with him. A lot of people think he is a deadly serious intellectual (which he is, of course), but he's also one of the funniest people I know. He's a brilliant player. If you give him something to work on – a riff, a sample, an idea – Robert creates something interesting almost immediately. He's an amazing and inspiring musician."

Tim is also working on new material that utilises RF soundscapes and includes contributions from trumpeter Aleksei Saks - one half of the the Estonian duo, UMA. Tim contributed vocals to the title track of UMA's new album, Hymn To Undiscovered Land which can be bought here. You can hear an excerpt from the album over on their Myspace site, and read my take on their record over on the blog.
