THE LIGHT OF GREENAWAY SHINES

My thanks to Hagiasophia for alerting us to “Nightwatching”, a new work by director Peter Greenaway which will be of interest to many Crimheads.

Hagiasophia writes “I was invited for a short trip to Amsterdam for a day tomorrow and of course I’m going to visit the Rijksmuseum where the infamous "Company of Frans Banning Cocq and Willem van Ruytenburch" (popularly known as The Night Watch, I’m sure you all know that being busy-bee KC fans) is housed. Rembrandt is definitely one of my favourite painters.”

A new film by Peter Greenaway named "Nightwatching" (for 2007) is in the works and the Rijksmuseum will be hosting an installation by Greenaway which will be located next to Rembrandt’s painting. I just thought this might be of interest to people here.”

Indeed it is. Here’s a synopsis of the “Nightwatching” project.
