Pat Mastelotto has uploaded a whole bunch of pics of the Stick Men tour over on their myspace site. The team are also with the California Guitar Trio today and celebrating this supportive review, notwithstanding the fact that some of it has been lost in translation.
Less
than a year after his last visit aStazione Beer, where by its very
ammissioneLevin never had technical problems, Tony returns to the
capital with a new project, The Stickmen Trio.
To accompany
this time there are the young Michael Bernier to stick / bass / guitar
and the massive Mastellotto Pat, always at the "court"
dell'immarcescibile Robert Fripp, on drums and samplers.
This
power trio of the wonders to the office immediately with rhythmic and
lock buttons, the braids between the stick and the amazing acrobatics
of Mastellotto merge into something that leaves those present in awe,
"Welcome."
What better way to open a live?
Levin, gigione, is produced in a nice Italian lame, triggering laughter from the public.
The new pieces, "The Shadow Drum", alternate with the classic King Crimson "Elephant Talk", as bullets fired depleted.
The new follower of Levin has nimble fingers and now joined by bassist in mathematical games, the color crimson.
All
this, however, is based on the fantastic Pat Mastellotto that, in the
prior art, shows taste and class, dosando so perfect virtuosity and
imagination.
The syncopated rhythms, the Controtempo and precise cut us back the old songs in a new light.
Pat
divide the load between the arms of his esamplers drums, drum machine
spits the synthetic sounds that go to infiltrate between the two chords
of frontman.
It's really impressive the amount of work done
by Mastellotto that, in a passage of "indiscipline", roll with one hand
tearing a roar of assent to the public. This song, like a sudden snap
of rage, sees Mastellotto vs. Bernier, go to the second battery.
Execution by lethal shot.
The
ossessività produced by the fingers, which beat the keyboard from top
to bottom, doubled thanks to the work of Bernier all that makes the
move and leaving Pat hypnotic free to invent polyrhythms set apart from
structural links of any kind.
Inevitable the wonderful "Three Of A Perfect Pair", always magnetic in its dreamy melody.
After a short break the group back with the folledivertissment "Sleep Is Wrong".
One chapter deserves a special mention the devastating "Red", irreverent in its dissonance!
At
the end of the concert is a feast of photos, autographs, and CDs sold,
the three will hold for almost an hour with the fans stayed in the
hall. Mastellotto I explained the origins of his name and when I ask of
King Crimson I replied with a smile: "Bob is the boss!"
At a breathtaking, unforgettable!
