"The Sheltering Sky" enters in the third segment (at 21:22) of the one hour program, which concerns controversial American author / environmental activist Edward Abbey (1927 - 1989). The cinemascopic track from Crimson’s Discipline accentuates a description and reading from Abbey’s first non-fictional tome Desert Solitaire (which marks its fortieth anniversary this year), and later hovers in at the conclusion of the Abbey segment."
