PARK WEST VIEWS

Thanks again to Bozzioisgod for alerting me to this short but incisive review of the last show at Park West.

"Saw the Park West show last night (Aug 8th). Excellent in all ways imaginable, a solid two hour show to a packed and appreciative audience, standing ovations for practically every song.

Standout moments:

Of course the Park West, best music venue in Chicago. They made a cursory request that everyone turn of cell phones, as in no pix or video please, but there was no enforcement of it and no one seemed to take advantage, although I heard a patron got tossed for taking a cell pic during the first encore on Wednesday.

Fripp laughing (laughing!) several times during ConstruKtion of Light

Adrian Belew's voice was as strong and clear as I've ever heard it. Nice mix.

"Red" as the second (or third) number played? Wild.

Two words: Tony Levin, and having to try and explain the Stick to the confused but happy guy next to me

Gavin Harrison and Pat M. were such a driving force, yet never overpowering. As the same guy next to me shouted, "Jeezus, they're STARTING the show with a drum solo??"

More women than I have ever seen at a KC show, and not the "boy, do you owe me for this date" kind either. That was nice to see."
