On this date in 2005 Robert Fripp played the last of seven soundscape concerts across the UK. The tour, known as the December Suite, contained some of Fripp's most moving solo work. Having began the run of shows in St. Peter's Church in Newlyn, and taking in some rock venues supporting Porcupine Tree along the way, the short tour ended in Sutton Parish Church in Ely at a thanksgiving event to celebrate the return to health of Stephen Tebboth after a road traffic accident in May.
Reviewing the download, Michael Fuller noted, "This performance is simply beautiful. Shimmering like morning light in the snow. There is something crystalline about the structure and cohesiveness of the whole project that the listener can only imagine the church imbued some extra "transcendentalness" to performance itself."
