Travis & Fripp get a positive review in the July / August edition of Germany’s biggest German jazz magazine - Jazz Podium. This review has been translated from the German by Theo’s colleague in Soft Machine Legacy, John Marshall.
"This music, recorded in Coventry Cathedral, sometimes really sounds like it comes from another world. Thinking of the history it would occur to you that during WW2 this city was all but destroyed by Luftwaffe air raids (in retaliation for which large areas of Lübeck were laid to waste). With this in mind it's difficult to say whether the surroundings introduce elements of heaven or hell, Olympus or Hades. Whatever the case, Fripp's celestial, music of the spheres, guitar sound, augmented by Travis's flute builds into a relaxed, elegaic sonic whole.

Live at Coventry Cathedral is a recording of a real event, the recording level of which, listened to with earphones, almost sounds like the actual experience. Although the cathedral is missing you can still experience music which goes beyond categories and which is not really of this world."
