KC COMES OUT ON TOP

In The Court Of The Crimson King has topped a poll of 100 best debut albums in the April edition of Dutch rock magazine, Eclipsed.  With Led Zep’s weighty dirigible hovering at no.3 and Velvet Underground’s banana looking a touch flaccid at no.2, KC’s mighty Crimson thing stands out in front of the competition.

The article also reprinted Peter Sinfield’s lyrics to the title song with a side bar that appears to explore some of the figures from history and mythology which are said to be referred to in the song. I say appears because my Dutch is non-existent.

The website for the magazine still has last month’s cover star, Dave Gilmour, up front but here’s the link anyway. Thanks to Dec the heads up.
