"Two delightful concerts in the connected but wildly different venues of Coventry Cathedral and a little parish church near Cheltenham. The Friday gig at Bishop’s Cleeve was unexpected, nicely intimate and a treat for the very mixed audience - half obviously knew what to expect, half were anticipating a folk duo, I’m sure.
Coventry was a magnificent setting for essentially the same set but which sounded noticeably different when heard from the main seating (first half) and the rear of the cathedral (second half). I noticed Toyah sitting on her own towards the back, hardly moving a muscle throughout the whole second set.
Thanks, Theo and Robert, for the new music and some echoes from the Crimson, Gong, No Pussyfooting and Evening Star past."You can read my own take on the Coventry gig over on the blog.
