It goes out on WDR 5 on Saturday 21st July at 22:05-00:00. You can access the show by clicking on the Radio button in the link to Michael Ruesenberg's site.
My thanks to guitarist Michael Peters (check out his revamped website)for sending me this
heads-up about a forthcoming programme on German radio.
Presenter Michael Ruesenberg will be hosting
his jazzpoint preview and will feature selections from Jakko Jakszyk’s recently
released album, The Bruised Romantic Glee Club (you can read my review here).
As well as featuring guests such as Robert Fripp, Gavin Harrison, Mel
Collins, Dave Stewart and Ian Wallace.
A colleague of Jakko's in the 21st Century Schizoid Band, Ian
contributed to Jakko’s version of Islands, and his Crimson Jazz Trio will also
be featured on the radio show with something from the excellent, King Crimson
Songbook Volume One.
Also featured on Jakko’s album is Soft Machine stalwart, bassist
Hugh Hopper. Ruesenberg will be looking at
the recently reissued Softs classic Third and the bleaker, Fifth (Hopper’s penultimate album
with the group).
Nice.
