CHILDREN OF MEN REVIEWED

Alfonso Cuaron’s apocalypse almost-now thriller, Children of Men, went on release last week and has been picking up some reviews.

The Times thought it deserving but flawed, whilst The Observer’s Philip French was more forthright in his praise for the movie, as indeed was the website filmfocus.  However what we really want to know is how Crimson’s Court edit sounded.

For that bit of priceless information we turn to our Edinburgh media correspondent, Iain Milne, who writes “Hi Sid, mixed reviews for this film but my daughter and I thought it was really good, we were really impressed by its chilling detail. Great use of The Court of the Crimson King as main character approaches seat of power in broken down London. This was lost on daughter.”
