Stick Men - that's Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto and Markus Reuter - are out on tour at the moment and have been chatting to the press ahead of shows.
Chances are you’ve heard Levin’s low-end work—and grooved to it—even if you wouldn’t recognize him out on the street (despite his trademark bald pate and prodigious ‘stache). That’s because it’s always been about the music for Levin: Magical noise, not notoriety. (Read the whole interview here)
“To be a proper band, I like the band to have its own sound and music, whether it’s a big following or small following,” says Levin. “You want to keep putting out material even if you’re busy. You have to have some product out there, so people don’t just hear the same old music. We do our best to have a flow of new material, whether it’s a live thing or collaborations with other people.” (Read the whole interview here).
Stick Men also have a download-only sampler called KONNEKTED which you get for free - although contributions are welcome - which also features special guests ex-Crim violinist, David Cross on Shades Of Starless and Mel Collins on Sailor's Tale.
