KC lyricist covers Crim

Richard Palmer-James, whose words grace King Crimson’s three studio albums of the 1970s, was on stage recently performing a cover of In The Court Of The Crimson King, joined by Richard’s Supertramp ex-bandmate John Helliwell playing the flute solo on clarinet.

The concert in Vannes was part of Alan Simon’s Excalibur The Celtic Rock Opera. Alan Simon also paid tribute to John Wetton on stage who guested on the Excalibur studio albums, such as singing the lead vocal on “Lugh” which was one of his favourite guest appearances.
