Congratulations to Trey Gunn who is celebrating his 60th birthday today Trey was a member of King Crimson from the formation of the Double Trio in 1994 until the end of the Double Duo lineup in 2003. Before that Trey had worked with Robert Fripp as part of the Sylvian & Fripp project, Sunday All Over The World and in various combinations of the Guitar Craft world.
Most recently Trey has been revisiting his Crimson connections via the impressive Discipline-era transcriptions publication, which you find out more about here. . .
Trey Gunn's two new albums of touch guitar improvisations via Bandcamp are still available. Trey writes, "These pieces will reward detailed and repeated listening. Likewise, they will punish casual listening."
The albums Punkt1 and Firma are companions to each other and both were recorded on two consecutive days.
