A tribute to John

DGM’s tribute to the mighty bass guitarist that was John Wetton.  Recorded in the run-up to Exposure Fripp, Wetton and Collins make such a mighty roar together on this audio snapshot. With the famous Wetton crunching bass well to the fore and Phil Collins’ agile work around the kit, this is easily the best jazz-rock power trio that never quite existed. Hearing these three world-class players adapting to each other as the notes and ideas hurtle past their ears is both a pleasure and a privilege.
