A four-year search for the perfect illustrator for The Vicar Chronicles, begun by the literary agent Luke Janklow, ended with the blossoming of the exceptional talents of Ben Singleton, David Singleton’s eldest son (who was only fourteen when the search began). “It is wonderful that Ben Singleton, the artist, has finally captured my assistant, Punk Sanderson, in his true light – an annoying, if highly amusing, mosquito buzzing around in the shadows of my brilliance: impromptu window-cleaner, skate-boarder, baby-sitter, waiter, sometime space-hopper rider. “Being slightly delusional helps. Great graphic novel” -  Comic book and movie reviews
“Bold and Whimsical” – Omnicomic

As well as the Graphic Novels, Ben Singleton has also drawn images for The Vicar’s much under-appreciated and largely undiscovered drummer joke App – a collection of over 100 drummer jokes - before becoming far too discerning and successful for THE VICAR’s paltry wages.
